The Ivorian Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, arrived in Abidjan on Saturday, May 23, 2026, concluding his participation in the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi. The delegation was welcomed upon landing by Vice President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, along with key government officials, presidential advisors, and senior military and administrative leaders.
This official visit to Kenya was strategically focused on deepening bilateral relations between Côte d’Ivoire and the East African nation. During his stay, President Ouattara engaged in high-level discussions covering economic cooperation, diplomatic alignment, and regional security, while also exploring avenues to strengthen South-South partnerships among African states.
The visit underscored Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to continental integration, fostering intra-African trade, and advancing peace and stability across Africa.
