Senegal’s Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, is set to appear before the National Assembly this Friday, May 22, 2026. The head of government will engage with parliamentarians during a dedicated session focused on current national issues and governmental actions.
This crucial question-and-answer session forms an integral part of the legislative oversight process. It provides deputies with the opportunity to directly challenge the Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers on significant national matters and policy initiatives, ensuring accountability.
Notably, since his appointment in April 2024, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko has already participated in four such parliamentary question sessions, making this upcoming appearance his fifth.
