Nearly two months prior, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) demonstrated remarkable solidarity. This unity followed the decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) appeals panel to revoke the African champion title from the Lions de la Teranga, subsequently awarding it to Morocco. The federation, under the leadership of its president, Abdoulaye Fall, had collectively rallied to lodge an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
