Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, touched down in N’Djamena late yesterday evening, wrapping up an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The trip included two separate meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan—first at the presidential palace and later at the Chadian leader’s residence.

Upon landing in N’Djamena, the President received a warm welcome from Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, key government ministers, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Special Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Special Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
