In his communication, the head of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire specifically acknowledged the “gestures made by Alassane Ouattara to foster peace within our nation’s political landscape.” He characterized these actions as encouraging signals that promise to bolster national cohesion.
During the Independence Day festivities held in Yopougon, Tidjane Thiam also confirmed the PDCI-RDA’s participation in the national celebration. He underscored that this decision stemmed from the commemorative event’s inherently unifying character. “We are all Ivorians, and the national holiday is a celebration for the entire Nation,” he affirmed.
