In the Lac province, grappling with the relentless pressure of Boko Haram’s recent assaults, women have taken a unified stand. Through the Provincial Women’s Network, they gathered in Baga-Sola on Friday, May 22, 2026, to voice unwavering support for the defense and security forces while emphasizing the critical need for national unity against the looming terrorist threat.
Led by the network’s president, Achta Adoum Abdoulaye, a delegation of women met with the Government Delegate for the Lac province, General Saleh Haggar Tidjani, at the Baga-Sola headquarters. The mission was clear: to deliver a powerful message of solidarity—both moral and material—to the troops battling Boko Haram on the frontlines.
Speaking on behalf of the women of Lac, Achta Adoum Abdoulaye commended the tireless efforts of administrative and military authorities in curbing insecurity and safeguarding the province’s stability. She forcefully condemned the recent terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of several defense and security personnel, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Chadian nation.
To turn words into action, the delegation presented a donation of essential food supplies to the forces actively engaged in counterterrorism operations.
In response to this display of solidarity, General Saleh Haggar Tidjani praised the women’s initiative as a ‘patriotic surge’, underscoring the indispensable role of women in fostering community resilience, social cohesion, and the fight against violent extremism.
