Christopher Raia, the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), recently visited the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC). This crucial hub brings together representatives from law enforcement and security agencies of all nations involved in the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
This visit forms an integral part of the comprehensive, high-level security framework established to safeguard all matches throughout the global tournament. During his visit, the American official held a dedicated meeting with delegates from the Moroccan security apparatus, specifically the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
Christopher Raia extended his profound gratitude to the Moroccan contingent for their active participation in securing the event and their significant contributions across all stages of the tournament. He emphasized that the FBI views the Kingdom of Morocco as a highly dependable partner, possessing internationally acclaimed expertise and credibility in security matters.
Addressing the assembled foreign security service representatives at the IPCC, the FBI Deputy Director delivered an impactful speech. Furthermore, he highlighted the immense challenge involved in securing 78 matches over a period spanning nearly two weeks. Raia affirmed that achieving this ambitious objective would be utterly unattainable without profound and close international collaboration among all participating nations.
