The President of the Gabonese Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, arrived in Abidjan on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, to participate in the festivities commemorating the 66th anniversary of Côte d’Ivoire’s independence. At Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, the Gabonese Head of State was warmly received by Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nialé Kaba, who represented the Ivorian authorities. The welcoming delegation also included government officials, high-ranking administrative and diplomatic figures, as well as members of the Gabonese community residing in Côte d’Ivoire.
