Togo student dies by suicide after baccalaureate exam failure in kpalimé

The city of Kpalimé is in shock following the death of a female student from Lycée de Zomayi, which occurred after the release of the BAC 1 results for the 2026 session.

According to consistent information gathered from local sources, the young girl, after learning she had failed the BAC 1 2026 upon checking the results on Sunday, June 7, subsequently took her own life by hanging.

This loss has deeply saddened the educational community, classmates, and residents of the area.

The tragedy renews concerns about the psychological pressure associated with school exams and the need for better support for students in distress.
