Frank Garcia, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, recently hosted Mahamat Tahir Orozi, Chad’s Ambassador to the United States, at the Department of State in Washington, D.C. This significant meeting took place as the United States prepared for its Independence Day celebrations, and just ahead of the upcoming commemoration in August marking 66 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The high-level discussions primarily centered on bolstering security cooperation, fostering stronger economic ties, and actively promoting private sector investments across both countries. The aim is to deepen the enduring partnership between the United States and Chad, building on decades of shared history.
