The Chad National Bureau of Land Freight (BNFT), alongside counterparts managing freight operations in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, have sealed a landmark digitalization agreement for Central Africa’s trade corridors by 2030.
This initiative is designed to overhaul the movement and transit of goods, making cross-border trade smoother and more efficient across the subregion. By embracing digital solutions, the three nations aim to streamline customs and transit processes, reducing delays and enhancing security in cargo handling.
Transforming logistics through digital innovation
Saleh Youssouf Erda, Director General of the BNFT, emphasized the critical role of this pact in today’s digital-first economy. « This agreement reflects our shared commitment to modern logistics and accelerating corridor digitalization. We live in a digital era—this transformation will secure shipments and make operations far more seamless, » he stated.
Streamlining trade with smarter systems
The Central African Republic’s Transport Minister’s representative highlighted the collaborative effort behind this pact. « After extensive consultations, this initiative will slash administrative wait times and strengthen cargo security—key factors in boosting trade reliability, » the official noted.
