This deadline marks the initial legal window granted to the federation after the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) filed an appeal with the TAS against both the FRMF and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
TAS confirms appeal receipt and sets procedural timelines
A TAS statement confirmed on March 25 that it had received the appeal lodged by the FSF against the CAF and FRMF. Under the tribunal’s rules, the appellant—here, the FSF—has 20 days to file its appeal brief outlining legal arguments. The defending parties, including the FRMF, then receive an equivalent period to respond.
However, the FSF has requested a suspension of proceedings, which has prevented the TAS from establishing a precise timeline or scheduling a potential hearing at this stage.
